Man holds up Love’s Truck Stop and steals 35 cartons of cigarettes


UPDATE (4:11 p.m.) – Sulfur Springs Police Department said two suspects were in custody after they robbed the Love’s Truck Stop and stole 35 cartons of cigarettes.

Charles Nash, 18, and Cass Sullivan, 22, were both arrested. A Sulfur Springs Police Department official said Nash was the one who used the gun to rob the truck stop and Sullivan was the one who chased them away.

The two were arrested on bonds of $ 100,000.

An official with the Sulfur Springs Police Department said the investigation was still ongoing.

SULFUR SPRINGS, Texas (KETK) – A love truck stop in Sulfur Springs was reportedly broken into on Friday morning. The Sulfur Springs Police Department (SSPD) responded to a robbery at 1201 S. Hillcrest at 9:33 am.

According to the SSPD’s Facebook post, the suspect showed a black gun and left the store with a box of around 35 cartons of mixed cigarettes. The suspect drove off in a vehicle described as a brown Chevrolet Colorado.

The SSPD said the suspect was a slender white man, wearing a gray hoodie with a puma logo on the front, black pants with red and white stripes, and black and red shoes. The suspect was the passenger of the vehicle and there is no identifier for the driver.
